Mission Statement
The Dumont Board of Recreation Commissioners is committed to maintaining
or improving the quality of life within the Borough of Dumont by providing high
quality, cost-effective recreation, sports, and entertainment programs for the benefit
of all residents of the Borough of Dumont.
Vision Statement
The Dumont Board of Recreation Commissioners will work proactively and together
as a team with all league officers and the Mayor and Council to insure the quality
of every program within the Borough of Dumont. It is the purpose of the Recreation
Commission that programs will be provided for all age groups within the Borough
and that no resident is excluded from any program.
Registration Forms
Registration forms are located on the 2nd floor in Borough Hall.
Recreation Refund Policy
A request for refund due to personal reasons must be made in Writing 5 business
days BEFORE the program begins. Refunds will NOT be issued once the program
starts.
There will be NO cash refunds. Refunds will be by city check and paid according
to the Recreation Department's bill-paying schedule through the mail.
Recreation Photo Policy
Please be advised that all participants involved in any recreation program
or special event are subject to being photographed. Such photographs may be
used by the Borough of Dumont without any obligation to provide compensation to
those photographed.
Summer Camp
Town Celebrations
Town Celebrations headed by Councilwoman Zamechansky, Janet Galligan and Dawn Totten and working in conjunction with the volunteers of the Board of Recreation Commissioners brings to the borough of Dumont many community events.
Spring there is the Memorial Day Parade and Easter Egg Hunt, Summer Concerts in the Park and the Movies Under the Stars, Fall is Dumont Day and the Halloween Costume Parade and Winter there is the Winter Festival.
For the dates of the events, all events are listed in the borough’s recycle calendar and will be advertised in the Twin Boro News.
