Signup's for Dumont Recreation Summer Camp will be held on Monday evenings from 6-8 pm on the 2nd floor of borough hall on May 6th, May 13th and May 20th. Registrations will also be taken at the Recreation Office on Thursdays 5/9th and May 30th from the hours of 5pm-7pm. May 30th is the last registration before the late fee of $50.00 per child is applied to the registration.
There will be NO registrations taken at the Recreation Office or borough hall during the daytime hours.
At the time of registration proof of residency will be requested which will be copy of driver's license and utility bill.
Summer Recreation is open to Dumont residents (only) who are entering Kindergarten through 8th grade in September 2013. Summer Camp opens on Monday, June 24th and runs for 6 weeks ending on Friday, August 2nd. (camp is closed for July 4th). Camp is Monday through Friday 9am to 1pm and held at Memorial Park. Registration is $150.00 per child which includes 2 camp shirts.
On May 31st there will be an additional $50.00 late fee applied to registration fee. The deadline date to register for camp is June 14th. There will be absolutely no registrations taken after June 14th.

The Adult Certification date for Adults 18 and older is being held on: Tuesday, July 30th and Tuesday, September 24th at the Borough Hall start time 7:00pm. Information regarding fingerprinting/background checks will be distributed at course.
If you had previously attended the Minor's Certification Course while a minor and have turned 18 or older and wish to coach, you MUST attend an Adult Certification Course.

Dumont Recreation will be accepting employment applications for camp counselor openings for the 2013 Summer Recreation Camp.
Summer camp runs from June 24th through August 2nd. Applicant is to be a Dumont resident between the ages of 16-21 and available for employment during the entire 6 week period.
Applications will be available on April 1st at the Recreation Office at Borough Hall on the 2nd floor outside the Recreation Office and also at the guidance office at Dumont High School. Applications must be returned to the Recreation Office by May 3rd.
Dumont Jr. Football will be holding their registration for the 2013 season on Monday, March 11th and March 25th and April 1st, 8th and 15th from 6-8:00pm at Borough Hall on the 2nd floor. Program is open to Dumont children grades 1 through 8.

Children 3 years and under or any child who was unable to go on the field without an adult escort will be given eggs which have been set aside outside the field area.

On Saturday, October 27th all Dumont children are invited by the Dumont Board of Recreation Commissioners, Town Celebrations and our host D’Angelo’s Farm to come show off their Halloween Costumes in our annual Halloween Parade.
Residents are to meet at D’Angelo’s Farm, 546 Washington Avenue, at 3:00pm.The parade will start at approximately 3:15pm.
D’Angelo’s is donating hay ride tours through the farm and a chance to take a trip through the Spooky Hay Maze for each Dumont resident from 3-5pm.Each child will receive a giveaway from the Recreation Commission while supplies last.
We would like to thank D'Angelo's Farm for hosting this event yearly for our residents and opening up their facilities for a fun afternoon for the children and the child in all of us.
There will be pony rides, candy apples, donuts, cider and a chance to pick your own pumpkin for purchase at the farm.

Dumont's own Sean Lissemore of the Dallas Cowboy's is coming back to town to run a football camp for our resident football players! The date of the camp will be Saturday, July 7th.
The time of the camp will be 9:00am to 2:30pm for ages six and up. Location of the camp is Dumont High School Football Field. The cost is free. The day's scheduled events starts with registration/check in at 8:00 am. Warmups will be at 9:00 am. Position Drills at 9:30-11:30am. There will be scheduled breaks between drills. Lunch break at 11:30am. Sean will speak to the campers at Noon and Games/Awards will be given between 1-4pm.

Sean Lissemore Football Camp
Now forming is a Boys and Girls Summer Basketball League for Dumont residents only. Start date is week of June 25th and runs for 6 weeks ending in August. Group 1 will be boys and girls going into 5th, 6th, 7th or 8th grade and Group 2 will be boys and girls going into 9th or 10th grades.
Location of the league games is Memorial Park and will run Monday through Friday times to be determined. Cost of program is $25.00.

Dumont Competition Cheerleading will be holding their Annual Clothing Drive on Thursday, April 26th, 2012 3:30-6:30 at the Dumont DPW Facility.
Donations of clothing, coats, shoes, belts, boots, linens, sheets, draperies, towels, baby items, baby seats, strollers, clean stuffed animals and dolls in good condition are needed.
All donated items are sent to Poland to be distributed via churches and orphanages in Poland.
Congratulations to the BU11C soccer team for their undefeated fall 2011 season. The boys placed first in the Northern Counties Soccer Association's U11C boys division with a 10 - 0 record.

Flag Football Registration Boys and Girls Age 7 through 12 year olds:
Registration for Dumont Recreation's 2011 Flag Football Season is being held on Monday, August 15th, August 22nd, August 29th and Monday, September 12th from 6 - 8pm on the 2nd floor at Borough Hall. This program is a coed program and open to Dumont residents only.

Registration for the 2012 Dumont Competition Cheering Program will take place at Boro Hall on Monday, June 6 and Monday, June 13, 2011 from 6:00-8:00pm. This competitive program is open to all Dumont residents in 1st through 9th grades. We will be holding tryouts during the week of June 20, 2011 and the registration fee is $150.00. ACTIVITIES FOR 2011 SUMMER RECREATION CAMP
Healthy Step Program: (Each Wednesday)
The walking path at the park will become part of the camp program with the Healthy Step Day. Children will have an opportunity to earn wristbands with each step they take around the park. Counselors will have pedometers tracking each step taken. Color wristbands have step goals noted on the wristband and the children can earn bracelets as they reach higher step goals.
Pool Days:
Campers wanting to go swimming will be dropped off directly at The Dumont Swim Club on Monday 7/11, 7/18, 7/25 and 8/1 by parents. Pick up time at the Swim Club is Noon. . There are no floatation devices allowed at the swim club and it is advisable that the children be able to swim that are going to the pool. Remember the camp is still going on at Memorial Park for children not going to the pool.
USSI Special Sport Camp
The USSI Sport Camp will be at camp July 5th, 6th, 7th and 8th to work with the children in organized groups during camp teaching various European sports from “across the pond”.
Tie Dye Fridays
Always a favorite for the children and counselors alike! Children are to bring a washed white t-shirt in a zip lock bag with their name on it for this craft. If your child is going to miss the date that is scheduled for their age group they can tie dye their shirt with the next group scheduled. *parents must provide t-shirt
In Camp Visits:
Jungle John from the Lizard Guys & his fun reptile friends are always a hit. Connie’s Kids Karaoke Show where the kids dress up and perform their favorite songs. This year we have some new additions to this year’s camp. Mr. Jeffrey Blum the Magical Song Writer, who will dazzle the crowd with his magic, The Fantasy Puppet Theater will be performing Aladdin’s Lamp and from the people who did the fantastic Dinosaur Show last year, this year they are bringing to camp their amazing Gems Rock Mineral Program. Large scale museum exhibits of real gemstones and the children can interact by mining their own gemstones in a rushing water sluice. The Dumont Fire Department, Dumont Police Department special visits to camp are always a big favorite with the campers.
Specialty Days
This year such as Crazy Hair Day where prizes will be awarded to the campers who come with the most outrageous hair styles and Beach Day at the park will bring the tropics to the park.
Sun Screen Safety Course
Program is offered through the Bergen County Health Department where the children participate in learning the value of sun safety and enjoy this presentation through games.
Trips open for Grades 3-8
Trips are offered at an additional cost to the camper to Bowler City, Ice House and this year to Power House Studios in Paramus where the children can participate in their own Game Show along with video and arcade games. Trips are limited and on lst come basis.

Dumont Football Cheering 2011
Dumont Football Cheering is holding their registrations for the upcoming 2011 season on the following Mondays: March 7th, March 21st and March 28th at the Dumont Borough Hall, 2nd floor, between the hours of 6:00pm and 8:00pm.
Program is open to Dumont girls Grades 3 through 8 for traveling teams. The Midget Program is for girls in 1st and 2nd grades.
Jr. Football Registration
Dumont Jr. Football will be holding their registration for the 2011 season on Mondays: March 7th, March 21st and March 28th from 6:00pm to 8:00pm at Borough Hall on the second floor.
Program is open to Dumont children grades 1 through 8.
Registration dates for the upcoming 2011 Men's Softball Season are Tuesday, February 15th and Monday evenings, February 21st and February 28th, 6:30-8:30pm at the Borough Hall on the 2nd floor.
Registration is for Dumont residents 35 years of age and older. Copy of driver's license due upon registration. Registration fee is $60.00 payable to Dumont Recreation.
