The Dumont Police Department is in the process of hiring a full-time dispatcher.
Applicants must:
• Be 18 years of age
• High School Diploma or GED
• Be able to read and write English language
• Able to use a computer and type
• Ability to complete agency-mandated training
• Work 12 hour shifts
• Work weekends and holidays
The following would be a plus in applying for the dispatcher job:

Homestead Rebate Credits
The State of New Jersey has decided not to pay the Homestead Rebate credit for the May 2013 property tax bills. The rebate credit will be sent to the towns for the August 2013 property tax bill instead. You must use the May bill that was previously sent to you as part of the Final 2012/Preliminary 2013 bill. Your credit will appear on the 3rd quarter of the Final 2013/Preliminary 2014 bill.

Parking Permits for Residents and Non-residents-Borough of Dumont
Applications for 2013 commuter parking permits for municipal parking in the Brook Street Parking Lot, West Shore Avenue section 2-5, West Quackenbush Avenue (north side-125 feet west of Park Avenue), Washington Street (east side-from Massachusetts to Washington Avenue) will be available to Dumont residents and business owners on a first come, first-served basis starting December 27, 2012 and non-residents and residents December 28, 2012. Permits may be obtained at the Borough Clerk’s office between 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. Please note that this does not include overnight parking.
The fee is $120 per calendar year for residents and $180 per calendar year for non-residents; there is one hanger permit per household. Applicants must bring a copy of the driver’s license and registration for the car to be used. No copies will be made at Borough Hall-no exceptions.

MAY 27, 2013 MEMORIAL DAY SERVICES AND PARADE
Memorial Day Prayer Services will start at 8:00am at Woodside Cemetery, Prospect Street at Madison Avenue; 8:15am at the monument at Washington and Madison Avenues, followed by the Parade line-up at 8:45am.
The Parade will kick off at 9:30am at Pershing Street and its route will take it from Madison Avenue to Prospect Avenue to New Milford Avenue straight to Virginia Avenue, marching forward to Memorial Park. No parking will be permitted on the parade route.
