PUBLIC HEARING FOR THE 2019 NJDEP GREEN ACRES PROGRAM GRANT FOR GINA’S FIELD

The Governing Body of the Borough of Dumont will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, April 13, 2021 at 6:30PM during the regularly scheduled Council meeting.  The purpose of the hearing is to obtain public input on proposed concept plan changes associated with the Borough of Dumont NJDEP GREEN ACRES PROGRAM grant award, for the Gina’s Field Improvements Project.   Gina’s Field (Block 1105/Lot 14) is located at Aladdin Ave. and Armour Pl.  This project includes construction of a multi-purpose field, perimeter walkway with fitness stations, children’s water spray park, playground equipment with rubberized safety surface, restroom building, parking spaces along Aladdin Ave., picnic grove, landscaping, and associated utility improvements. The meeting will take place by means of communication equipment at 50 Washington Avenue, Dumont, N.J. 07628.  The presentation will provide the public with an overview of the project that funding is being requested followed by an opportunity for public comment.  Formal action may be taken.  All residents are encouraged to participate.

RABIES CLINIC LOCATION CHANGE
The Borough of Dumont will be hosting our annual rabies clinic on Wednesday March 31st from 3PM – 4PM at Gina’s Field on Aladdin Avenue. Masks are required and all individuals must adhere to current State of New Jersey guidelines and Executive Orders instituted during the COVID-19 public health crisis.

The Borough of Dumont will begin grass & leaf pick-up on Tuesday March 16th. Please check your Borough Calendar for your scheduled pick-up day. The Borough of Dumont has also lifted overnight parking restrictions. When parking in the street, please be mindful of the placement of grass/leaf clippings to assist our DPW in efficiently and successfully removing debris. Thank you for your cooperation in advance.

The Dumont Recreation Commission, Mayor LaBruno and Dumont Council are proud to announce the return of our celebrated recreation programs this spring. The Borough of Dumont will be hosting Baseball, Softball, Men’s Softball, and Track & Field programs following the strict guidance and protocols of the New Jersey Department of Health and all current Executive Orders. The Borough is committed to working with volunteers in our recreation community to provide a safe and fun experience for all Dumont families and children. Dumont Borough Hall will be closed on Monday, February 22nd, and will re-open Tuesday, February 23rd at our new location at 50 Washington Avenue. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, Dumont Borough Hall will continue to be open to the public by appointment only. We encourage all residents to address as much borough business as possible remotely.
